From an idea by Daniele Li Volsi, Palermo photographer and videomaker, comes the short docu-film “Giacinto – The Life of a Madonie Shepherd”.
Filmed at “Marcato – Piano Farina”, the project follows the daily life of Giacinto Cangelosi, a shepherd and cheesemaker whose family has carried on this tradition for five generations.
The documentary captures his hospitality, offering visitors his ricotta and cheeses, while recounting anecdotes and experiences from his life.
Through Giacinto’s voice, the viewer lives a day in the shoes of a shepherd, perceiving the dedication and passion behind this demanding yet deeply rooted profession.
The film is the result of a collaboration between Daniele Li Volsi (creator, videomaker, director), Massimo Palmigiano (videomaker and director), Arianna Li Volsi (backstage photography), and Emanuele Pennisi (original soundtrack).
